As a figurative and portrait painter, my main focus is capturing the essence of my subjects through their personality. Whether it be humans, animals, or inanimate objects, I strive to convey their expressions, feelings, and character in my artwork. This pursuit of capturing the true essence of my subject is my ultimate goal when painting and drawing. While I do dabble in landscapes, my heart lies in the intimate connection between artist and sitter. In order to achieve this, I primarily work with oil paints, graphite, charcoal, pastels, and lately, watercolors. I believe that each of these mediums offers its own unique qualities to portray the intricate details and emotions of the subject. Furthermore, I am always seeking to expand my knowledge and skills in the world of art. Whether it is through learning new mediums, experimenting with different techniques, or studying the history and theories surrounding the art of painting and drawing, I am constantly striving to grow and improve in my craft.
